You Will Need:
Crochet Hook- G
4.0 mm
Scissors
Yarn Needle
Band:
Row 1: ch 13 sc in each st and turn. (12 sc)
Row 2: Sc in each st, turn. (12 sc)
Row 3: ch 1, sc in each st, back loops
only, turn. (12sc)
Row 4: Repeat round 2 until the band fits around your head without stretching.
Mines measure 21 ½ inches. Fasten off and leave long
tail for sewing.
Hat:
Start with coral
ch 50, and 1 more for turning ch.
Row 1: 1 hdc in next ch, *skip next ch, 2 hdc
in next ch*, repeat to end, 1 hdc in last ch. (50 st)
Row 2: 1 sc in each st. (50)
Row 3: With white,1 hdc in next st, *skip next
st, 2 hdc in between the 2 hdc, repeat to end, 1 hdc in last ch. (50 st)
Row 4: 1 sc in each st. (50)
Row 5: With coral,1 hdc in next st, *skip next
st, 2 hdc in next space, repeat to end, 1 hdc in last ch. (50 st)
Row 6: 1 sc in each st. (50)
Now you will
repeat row 3-6 until hat is 22 inches.
Pom-Poms:
You can use cover
pom-pom maker, or you can use your hand. Simply wrap around and around your
hand until you get enough yarn. Gently pull the yarn off of your hand, wrap
another piece around the center of the yarn ball. Tie it tight to secure, cut
up both sides. Trim to form. Then weaving in and out of the stitches at
the top of the hat and pulling tight, tie on pom-pom, Finish off. Fold up hat and
put band around fold of hat and sew on. Enjoy.
