Materials List

• 1 ball yarn your what ever color you want
• 1 ball yarn white
• 1ball yarn black
• Size US E/4 (3.5) hook
• Yarn Needle

Sole (Make 2)

Beginning at toe with white, ch 5.

• Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn-4sc.
• Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn-6 sc.
• Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn-8 sc.
• 4-16 Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
• Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, sc2tog, turn-6 sc.
• Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
• 19-20 Repeat rows 17 and 18-4sc.

Sole Edging

Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in last sc, with RS still facing work 19 sc across row ends, working in free loops of foundation ch, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in next ch, work 19 sc across row ends, join with a sl st in 1st sc-50 sc. Fasten off.

Tongue (Make 2)

Beginning at top with your color of choice

• Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn-4 sc.
• Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn-6 sc.
• 3-15 Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
• Ch 1, sc in each sc across, do not turn, but pivot to work edging.

Tongue Edging

Ch 1, work 16 sc across row ends, working in free loops of foundation ch, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, 2sc in next ch, work 16 sc across row ends-38 sc. Fasten off.

Toe (Make 2)

• Join white with sc in tongue edging, sc in next 6 sc of row 16, sc in tongue edging, turn-8 sc.
• 2-4 Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
• Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog, turn-6 sc.
• Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog, turn-4 sc. Fasten off

Upper (Make 2)

Starting at top with color of your choice, ch 16

• Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn-15 sc.
• Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
• Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, ch 1, sk next sc, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, ch 1, sk next sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn.
• Ch 1, sc in each sc and ch-1 sp across, turn-17 sc.
• 5-6 Repeat row 2 twice more.
• Repeat row 3.
• Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in each sc and ch-1 sp across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn-21 sc.
• Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st sc, sc in each sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn-23 sc.
• Repeat row 3.
• Repeat row 8-27 sc.
• Repeat row 9-29 sc.
• Ch 1, sc in 1st sc, ch 1, sk next sc, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, ch 1, sk next sc, sc in last sc , turn.
• Repeat row 4-29 sc.
• 15-16 Repeat row 2 twice more. At end of row 16, do not turn but pivot to work.

Upper Edging

With RS still facing, ch 1, sc in ends of row 15-13, 2 sc in ends of row 12, sc in ends of row 11-1, working in free loops of foundation ch, 3 sc in next ch, sc in next 13 ch, 3 sc in next ch, sc in ends of row 1-11, 2 sc in end of row 12, sc in ends of row 13-16-53 sc. Fasten off, leaving a 12" tail for sewing.

Upper/Toe Joining

• Join white with sc in 15th sc on row 16 of upper, sc in next sc and in each sc across, sc in upper edging, working along toe, sc in ends of rows 1-5 on toe, 2 sc in each st on row 6, sc in ends of row 5-1, working along upper again, sc in upper edging, sc in next sc and in each sc across to joining, sc in same sc as joining, join with a sl st in 1st sc, turn-50 sc.
• Ch 1,sc in 1st sc and in each sc around, join. Fasten off
• Join black with sc in last sc on round 2, sc in next sc and in each sc around, join, Fasten off.
• Join white with sc in last sc on round 3, sc in next sc and in each sc around, join, do not fasten off.

Sole Joining

Ch 1, with WS of Upper/Toe joining and sole edging together, working through both thicknesses, sl st in 1st sc and in each sc around, join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Ankle Circle (Make 2)

With white, Ch 2

• 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st in 1st sc-6 sc.
• Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, join-12 sc. Fasten off, leaving a 12" tail for sewing.

Lace (Make 2)

With 2 strands of black held together, make a 26" long ch. Fasten Off. Trim ends and weave lace through holes in upper.

Finishing

Sew Ankle Circles on outside of bootie. With color of your choice, sew 3 or 4 sts at beginning and end of upper edging to last row or tongue to hold upper and tongue together below bottom lace holes. Weave in all ends.
