Row 1: 1hdc in each st
Row 2: Ch1, hdc in each st
Row 3: Ch2 hdc in each st
Row 4: Ch1, 1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end

Row 5: Ch2, hdc in each st
Row 6: Ch1, hdc in each st
Row 7: Ch2, hdc in each st 

Row 8: Ch1, hdc in each st
Row 9: Ch 2, hdc in the next 3 st's. *2hdc in next st, hdc in the next 2 st's* – repeat to end.
Row 10: Ch1, hdc in each st
Row 11: Ch2, hdc in each st.
Row 12: Ch1, hdc in each st.
Row 13: Ch2, hdc in each st
Row 14: Ch1, hdc in each st.
Row 15: Ch2, hdc in each st.

Row 16: Ch1, hdc in next 13 st's, *2 hdc in next, hdc in next 10* repeat to end.
Row 17: Ch2, hdc in each st

Count out from both sides 23sts, then 26sts, mark with st marker.

Row 18: Ch1, hdc in each st to first marker, ch 30 for underarm, join with hdc at next marker, hdc to next marker, Ch 30 for second underarm, join with hdc , hdc to end.

Row 19: Ch2, hdc in each st until cardigan is the desired length. Finish off.

Arm:
Join yarn with a sl st on any corner of underarm  work evenly around 60 hdc, join.
Row 1: 1 hdc in next 28 st's, 2togther in next st, repeat to end. Join (56)
Row 2: 1 hdc in next 12 st's, 2together in next st, repeat to end. Join  (50)
Row 3: 1 hdc in next 8 st's, 2together in next st, repeat to end. Join 
Row 4: 1hdc in each st to desired length. Finish off. 
Make sure to do this to other arm.

Now sew on the buttons.
