Materials:
Worsted weight yarn-Black and Retro or any colors you want for the edge of the Pentagon.
Note: I used a bunch of colors for this blanket that I just had around, old yarn that was to small to do anything with, I thought it be a good way to get rid of all the little yarn. I have to say that this blanket was a little challenging and took a lot longer then I thought it would. Please have fun making this blanket.

You will repeat steps above until you have 56 Pentagons, once all done with your Pentagons you will sew them together any way you see fit.
I just free handed this and put the pentagons where I thought they would fit.
Feel free to experiment with colors and stitches to create unique designs. You can make solid Pentagons or combine different colors for a more intricate look. Adjust the size of the Pentagon by adding or subtracting rounds as needed.
Now comes the hard part, making this into a square shape. I will be using single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and treble crochet to try and make this into a square shape.
Starting off on any pentagon at the point with a ch 2, I went in this order single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and treble as the dip got low. How you do this will depend on how you put together you pentagons.
Now that I have tried to fill in the dips, it seems to be do this curl thing so I will try to decrease. If you need to do this it will depend on how many st’s you have. I have 976 st’s divided by 61 giving me 16- 2, so 14 is how many I need to crochet in before the decrease.
This is my finish blanket
