Stripe Shorts

 

What You Need

Hook: 5mm

Yarn needle

Scissors

Yarn- ZZ Twist Red and Blue, this yarn has been discontinued so here are some  substitute

 

Pattern

Ch 91, in blue,

 

Row 1: 1 hdc in each st.

 

Row 2-4: Using 1 hdc in each st.

 

Row 5: Using blue, 1 hdc in each st. Repeat rows 2-5 until one leg is as wide as you need.

 

Now you will turn the squares lengthwise and fold each square in half. These are your two pant legs with a long strand of yarn and your tapestry needle.

Starting at the bottom of the shorts, stitch up each pant leg together so each leg is a tube stitch about halfway up,

and then you will stop stitching each pant leg and stitch the two square pieces together (the crotch area). You will do this on the front and the back side of the shorts.
