Sl st: Slip stitch

Sc: Single crochet

Fpdc: Front Post Double Crochet

Let's get started! Cut 2 rectangles measuring 15" long and 17" wide.

Put the 2 rectangles (bag body) together lengthwise, then sew along the sides and bottom leaving the top open.

Now we use are rotary cutter with are crochet blade and roll it right across the top of our bag body.

Round 1: 2 sc into each hole, sl st to join

Round 2: Ch 1, hdc in next st, go through the last loop from the hdc you just made, pull up a loop then go through the next hdc (in back loop) and pull up a loop yarn over and put through all 3 loops on your hook.

Round 3: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st.

Round 4: Ch 1, 1 fpdc in next post from round 2, sc in next st, repeat to end.

Round 5: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st.

Round 6: Ch 1, 1 sc in next st, 1 fpdc in next post from round 2, repeat to end. Sew bottom together.

Zipper

For the zipper I used a smaller hook, (3.0mm) the yarn. Since the yarn was too thick to fit through the holes on my zipper, I separated the strands of yarn and attached the ends.

Round 1: (3.0 mm) 3 sc in each top hole, once at the last hole ch 3 or 4 and continue with 3 sc in each top hole, once at last hole ch 3 or 4 sl st to first sc.

Round 2: Ch 2, 1 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in sl st, hdc in next corner, 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 3 or 4 st’s, 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next corner, 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 3 or 4 st’s, sl st to top of ch 2. Sew zipper onto bag
